As someone that has worked remotely from a home office for many years and has a cat that “lives” in the room that’s used as an office (they don’t get on with the other cats in the household despite us trying several times) I was thinking about the benefits and drawbacks of having cats in the office today and thought I’d share my observations.

With their purrs and playful antics, they’re sure to make your home office a happier and more productive place to be.   My cat seems to understand when I’m working and will often either sit and watch  me or curl up on the windowsill, the top of the bookcase, or her bed and doze.  It’s nice to have another living being in the room even if they are not human and I sometimes catch myself explaining a problem to her which seems to help.
