In recent years, the trend of dressing casually for work has gained popularity, especially in small businesses. The appeal is clear: casual attire is comfortable, often more affordable, and can create a relaxed atmosphere. However, I was watching a series on Netflix the other day about an estate agent that dealt in high value homes and one of the staff members was persuaded to get a hoody, and it occurred to me that  there are several drawbacks to this approach that small business owners and employees should consider. This post will explore the potential pitfalls of casual dress codes and why maintaining a more professional wardrobe might be beneficial for a small business.
